Home Remedies for Urinary Tract Infections

Urinary tract infections are more common in women than in men because the urethra is shorter in women. The symptoms of a urinary tract infection are burning during urination, frequency, murky color of urine, and a full bladder feeling.
Baking soda: At the sign of the first symptoms prepare this drink. In 125 ml of water, dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. Take two glasses of plain water and then drink the glass of water with the baking soda.

Drink plenty of water: The more water you drink, the more bacteria you eliminate in the urine. In addition, the urine will be less irritating because it will be more diluted.
Watermelon: Watermelon alleviates urinary tract problems, and cleans and refreshes the kidneys.
Coconut Water: To remove kidney impurities, sip a cup of coconut water before breakfast.
Garlic tea: Peel and crush two garlic cloves. Put them in a cup of warm water. Let stand for five minutes and drink. Garlic kills bacteria.
Boldo leaf tea: You can buy boldo tea in regular stores. I found mine at Vallarta Supermarkets (in Southern California).
Nettle tea: Put a teaspoon of dried nettle leaves in a cup of water and boil for 5 minutes. Strain and drink. Nettle is a diuretic which will help to eliminate more urine and bacteria.
Cranberry juice: Taking cranberry juice prevents bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract walls, making it easier to eliminate them in the urine.
Eat asparagus: Asparagus is prescribed as a purifier of the urinary tract and helps cure cystitis.
Onion bouillon: Cut the onion in four parts, put them in half a liter of water in a stainless steel pot and let boil for about 20 minutes. Remove and let stand for 8 hours. Strain and drink.
Infusion of mauve and llanten: Boil 3 mauve leaves, 1 llanten leaf, and a handful of white flower in 2 liters of water for 10 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes. Take a cup of this infusion and wash the vaginal area with the rest of the infusion.
Celery smoothie: In three liters of water, blend two stalks of celery with the leaves, two thick slices of pineapple, and a cup of chamomile tea.
